I have hosted my website with IXWebHosting since the fall of 2004. I had a problem with payment using my credit card, and that was the first time I saw IXWebHosting customer service in action. They called me the next day and advised me to sign up using an alternative payment method, which was quite hasslefree. Setting up my website with IXWebHosting proved to be quite quick actually. Whenever I had any problems, their support representatives resolved them within no time. It was probably the start of the year 2005 when a hard disk in one of their servers crashed, and my website was affected by it. IXWebHosting was extremely quick in resolving that issue by using data from stored backups. My site uses a lot of scripting functionality like databases and PHP etc. So I had been encountering problems in the beginning with some of my scripts. IXWebHosting addressed all of my issues in a smooth manner. They truly stand by their one hour response time promise. As far as downtime is concerned, I did not see any except that one hard drive issue that I mentioned earlier. I can say this because I have also deployed a monitoring system on my website, which keeps reporting that their uptime is very close to 100%. IXWebHosting has continued to prove that they are truly an excellent web hosting company. Hats off to their customer support. Highly recommended!

I hosted a couple of my websites on one of IXWebHosting's multiple domain hosting plan and since then have been regretting my decision. I won't be exaggerating if I call their customer support "awful". It took them days to respond to my support ticket and throughout that time all of my sites remained down. Although they do offer an online chat system, every time that you start a conversation with them they put you on hold asking you to wait until your ticket is updated. I really don't understand what that means. I think my last web hosting company was way better than IXWebHosting in that I hosted my website with them and didn't have to worry much about it afterwards. However, with IXWebHosting I'm constantly getting complaints from my site users about the frequent downtime. I would definitely advise to stay away from this company.
