Absolutely worthless web host, stay away

I have been with WestHost during the past five years, and despite trying hard to make myself happy with them, I have not been able to do so. The main reason for this was the amount of downtime I was seeing with my website every now and then. A few months ago, I also subscribed to the web hosting service of another company HostGator to see if the uptime could be any better. To my pleasant surprise, the downtime was almost nonexistent. So now I have been regretting why I continued to stay with them for 5 years straight when I could easily have had a better option. The only things I have rated as terrible in this review are reliability and uptime, price, and quality and rightfully so. I think given the bad uptime that they have, their price is considerably higher as compared to other similar hosting companies. And of course a major indicator of quality is the uptime, so the quality has also been rated as the lowest. Needless to say, I am not happy with my new company HostGator and would stress anyone else considering WestHost to avoid them.

The web host has proved to be good for me

I don't know the reason why the previous reviewer is so angry with WestHost, but for me they have turned out to be pretty good. Every time I have called their support department, there was someone who listened to my issue carefully and came out with the exact kind of response I was expecting. If I have to start writing down the good things, I think my list of kudos for the support department would not be ending any soon. Keep up the good work WestHost and please don't compromise on the quality of the customer services team as you acquire more customers along the way.

Terrible Web host with bullshit Charges

WestHost has proved to be the worst nightmare for me. I canceled a domain name with them and even then they charged me for that domain. Furthermore, I could not access the control panel they had provided. There was a so-called "support representative" named Martin at their end who could not show the slightest of patience and he even gave a hint of dropping the phone line in case I continued to complain. I think this company is a total fraud and must be avoided like a plague.
